Pals at the Park

Yesterday I took Lauren and her pal Kalyssa to the park to play (yes, I went back again already). Lauren and Kalyssa met and became friends in preschool last year. When they ran into each other at kindergarten orientation and discovered they would be in the same kindergarten class Kalyssa declared, "Well Lauren, at least we have each other!" Kalyssa is a fun, chatty, energetic and hilarious little girl. She also seems to bring those same qualities out in Lauren who tends to be more reserved.
The girls enjoyed feeding their happy meal fries to the squirrels, playing on the playground, and coming up with imaginative make-believe games.
They almost made me wish I were six again.

Kalyssa and Lauren will probably end up being life long friends! Kalyssa looks like she could be the class clown-keeping everyone in stitches! What a fun friend to have! Is Kalyssa big for her age or is our little Lauren that petite?!

Kalyssa is definitely the class clown. I just about died when she told me she keeps her favorite rocks in her shoe. Off came her shoe and there were these two good size rocks in there! I said,"Doesn't that hurt your foot?" and she said that it did the first time, but now she's used to it! Kalyssa probably is a little big for her age but Lauren is the smallest in her class. She's a runt.

What fun friends! I can't believe she has already lost 4 teeth! She does look pretty big compared to little Lauren.

You can always pretend you're 6 and run around chasing squirrels again. Although I suppose it's not as much fun after growing up.
