In Love With Book Club!
One of my favorite things in life is book club. Yesterday was my one year anniversary of attending the book club my friend Nikki holds in her home. She invited me to check it out and I was instantly hooked. I love that it has pushed me to read books I know I would have never read on my own (War and Peace!). I also love gathering in a room with this bunch of really smart people and listening to their thoughts and ideas. It always amazes me how many different views people can have on the same book and the book club experience has reinforced in my mind that people can think differently and nobody has to be wrong. The best meeting of the year is in July. That is the month we pick all the books we will be reading in the coming year. I have been giddy with anticipation all week while waiting to find out which books would make THE LIST. I am really excited about the list we came up with. I'm looking forward to this next year of great reading and thought provoking discussions!

Please read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. It's a GREAT read.
I love to read too!!
We actually read that book last year! We really enjoyed it. Have you read any other Jodi Picoult books?
Yeah, I've read almost every book she's written. I absolutely LOVE her writing style. Have you read any of her others?
Did TWILIGHT by Stefanie Meyers make it on your list? She is LDS and a new author. I can't remember the second one, but the third is coming out in the begining of Aug. Jenn, Misty and I are going out to lunch and buying it.
Meggan, I've read The Pact and the one about the Amish family. She does have a nice writing style. Michelle, Twilight didn't make the list but I know it is very popular here. My friends have been passing it around and keep telling me to read it.
Kasey, The second and third books by Stephanie Meyer are: NEW MOON and ECLIPSE. Happy reading!!
I wish I actually had the time to participate in a book club! It takes me so much longer than it used to to finish a book! I've been reading the Left Behind series and its tken me a few years to finish the 12 books! I'm now starting the first of the three prequels-the series is very addictive and so far there are three movies out to go along with the first three books of the series. I'm always looking for new reads also-let me know of any really good ones!
