Moving Forward
Well, my photography class is almost over. One more assignment to go. I feel like I've really learned a lot and I'm looking forward to spending more time practicing these new skills on my own until they become second nature. At times I felt like I became so wrapped up in completing the assignments, committing the information to memory seemed to take second place. That kind of misses the point, I think. Each week after turning in our assignments the instructor critiques everyone's photos and then picks a few "photos of the week" that best illustrated the lesson. He has picked one of my photos all three weeks! Please excuse my shameless bragging. I have just been so excited and encouraged by this. Today two of my friends asked me to take their family photos which took me by surprise. I wasn't planning to do this quite yet but it will be good experience and if I mess up I know they will forgive me. I'll let you know how it goes.

You brag all you want girl! You definitly have the bragging rights to your accomplishments and you deserve it! I'm so proud of you! And don't worry, you won't screw up those family pics! They'll be perfect-just like everything else you shoot! Congrats!

Kasey, that's not bragging-no way! that's just knowing you are good at something {which, needless to say, you are tremendously wonderful at....YOU ARE A NATURAL!!} Yes, do show the pics your instructor picked. Do you think you'll take another course?
That is so awesome that 2 families have asked you to do their pics. You know, If we lived closer, I would totally ask you to do our pics and you pay you for it. Love ya!!
Kasey, that's AWESOME! I knew you had talent from one simple picture taken at my wedding. Of course your instructor would pick your photos! Please share them.
And if I ever get up to seeing you, you better believe we will be having a massive photo session.
Thanks for all the kind words. I just turned in another assignment. If I get another "photo of the week" I will post all four at once.
