Catch and Release

Yesterday we took a spontaneous, overnight camping trip to our favorite spot along the river. Aaron and the kids decided to do some fishing and Austin got the catch of the day. His fish was just a little guy so of course, he went back into the river. The girls caught plenty of rocks, grassy goo and even each other, but no fish. Aaron seemed to spend most of his time tying on lures and helping the kids pull their lines free from the rocks in the river but he didn't seem to mind. Maybe next time he'll get to spend a little more time with his own line in the water.

How fun! Glad to see you guys had a good time! Like there was really any doubt that you would!

Did Aaron get more tattoos? Or have I just not seen that arm in a long time?

we love camping too. It is such a beautiful and peaceful get a way from the busy life. Looks like a beatiful spot for camping. Aaron is such a good and patient dad.

I was wondering too if he got more tat's? I thought the same thing when I saw the pic.

Did the kid's catch anymore fish?

No, Aaron hasn't gotten anymore tatoos. Not in the past couple of years, anyway. He would like to fill in the space between the black and white tatoo and the colored one but I just keep trying to discourage it.

No more tattoos Aaron!

Looks sort of like fun. I'm not a big camper, though.

Meggan, I like to camp for one evening and then go home in the morning. I'm not big on going without a shower!
